• Urgent Fee : In case of applicant's genuien urgency, applicant may request for urgent legalization by presentaing his/her documents on the applicant's window at the Embassy (upon an appointment) if the reason is considered as urgent the an URGENT FEE will be changed for urgent processing to fulfill the requirement within due time.

Steps to Legalize Your Documents: All Representative must have a legitimate ID card or a voter ID card to be allowed in to submit documents

Following are the supporting documents to attach

• Documents required to attach when submitting below documents

Birth Certificate

1. Translation of the original certificate in Italian language
2. Two Passport data page colour copy of the owner of the documents
3. A legitimate ID or Passport data page copy of the one submitting the documents
4. Copy of Owners or inviting person resident permit and ID card in Italy (CartaD’identita,Soggiorno)
5. Colour copy of Mother and Father ID Card and Birth certificate
6. Death Certificate of parent are dead

Affidavit Certificate

1. Translation of the original certificate in Italian language
2. Covering note from the judicial services and its translation in Italian Language
3. ID Card for all names mentioned in the affidavit
4. Birth Certificate for children if they are mentioned in the affidavit
5. A legitimate ID or Passport data page copy of the one submitting the documents
6. Two Passport data page colour copy of the owner of the documents

Please note that the Embassy of Italy will return documents if Translations are not up to standards. Representatives or applicants are required to make further corrections and resubmit documents for processing. This will delay the processing time

Criminal Check

1. Translation of the original certificate in Italian language

3. A legitimate ID or Passport data page colour copy of the one submitting the docume

Marriage Certificate

1. Translation of the original certificate in Italian language
2. Two Passport data page colour copy and one colour copy of all pages of the owner of the documents
3. Colour copy of inviting spouse old and new full passport
4. A legitimate ID or Passport data page colour copy of the one submitting the documents Colour
5. Copy of Owners or inviting person resident permit and ID card in Italy(Carta D’identita,Soggiorno)
6. Colour copy of couples birth certificate

In the interest of the applicant, in order to verify the authenticity of documents to be legalized, the Embassy may require additional papers, such as birth or death certificates of the applicant’s parents
